The Blue Jean Mile hosted by Fleet Feet and ASICS!
Daisy Dukes? Skinny jeans? Overalls? or Relaxed fit? What kind of blue jeans will you wear at The Blue Jean Mile? Yes, you read that correctly, the runners of the triangle will be donning their dungarees and running an out-and-back mile on Thursday May 22nd (6:30 PM) with partner ASICS to celebrate the ASICS Blue Jean Mile, an event created by ASICS runner Johnny Gregorek to honor the memory of his brother Patrick. This event is hosted by Steel String Run Club and will feature:
- Blue Jean Bedazzling (pre-run)
- Different jean divisions (Daisy Duke,Skinny Relaxed) all forms are welcome
- A post run fashion show and ice cream party with ASICS giveaways
- The latest and greatest ASICS shoes to try for your mile
Come meet us at the patio behind Open Eye Cafe (park in at Drakeford Library Complex) for a fun event with a powerful story at its center. And of course the post-run place to be will be Steel String, so bring your trainers, your trousers and maybe a good amount of your favorite anti-chafe to experience The ASICS Blue Jean Mile!
