Event Details

Celebrate Midsummer and the brightest day of the year at Pluck Farm!

The holiday is a celebration of the summer solstice, marking the longest day of the year and the onset of summer. Midsummer is traditionally celebrated in the Nordic countries and across Europe. It’s a day that should be spent with family and friends eating, drinking, and playing games out in the open air. A big part of the day is picking and decorating with flowers and greenery and binding them into flower crowns to be worn for good luck.

Flower Crowns

Starting at noon, we’ll have a make your own flower crown station down at the Field Bar. *NEW* This year, we will have demos on flower crown making run by our Bartender/Pluck Floral Designer, Bella! She will run two sessions at 1:30pm and 4:30pm and be present at the flower station for the majority of the fest to offer a helping hand and answer questions!
Crowns are $8 and includes greenery, tools and your choice of 7 flowers that were grown and plucked on Pluck Farm. The flower station will be up all day until supplies last.

Live music: SCANDIMONIUM 5-7pm

Triangle based music group specializing in traditional and modern Nordic folkdance tunes. Their instrumentation includes fiddles, nyckelharpa, mandolin, cello, accordion, keyboard and light percussion.

Midsummer Mini Market: 4pm-8pm

This market will feature artists and growers that tie into summer, flowers, and the magic that is Midsummer.
