Steel String Brewery’s weekly local artist spotlight series – Steel String Sessions – this week featuring Sam Thorn.
Sam Thorn’s songs are time capsules of found objects, spare syllables, and silly jokes, fished out of a sea of reverb and love…an attempt to find stable footing in a world that’s getting wobblier every day. Born in England, raised in California, and now based in North Carolina, he and his hound dog Taki have recently been traveling the country in a converted school bus, noses to the ground, looking for light in the gloom.
