“Matty Frank is originally from a small town in CT and recently moved to Durham from Brooklyn, NYC. He is known in the city for his vocal range and elasticity, as well as his songs inspired by sad lesbian music. These songs are from his latest EP, American Sadboi, a dramatic infusion of indie rock, pop, folk, and tacky tacky guitar tones now streaming on all platforms. He is currently writing an album that expands on fresh folk sounds with a newfound leaning into trip hop. As a wretch who has been writing music for over 15 years, he has scored for visual media including the Spitfire Audio – Bridgerton Scoring Competition, and aims to one day compose for video game and film sound tracks.”
